The Salvation Army partners with the United States Marine Corps Reserves Toys for Tots to provide Christmas assistance to families in need. For the past 15 years, the Tidewater Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association has helped at this event. We would like to form a group to help out once again this year. This year the Salvation Army needs help unloading buses, sorting stockings, and packing the Angel Tree Tag gifts.
They will need volunteers from 9:00AM-12:00PM on December 2nd. It is truly amazing what we are able to accomplish in such little time.
This year’s event is in a new location, Chesapeake square mall (4200 portsmouth blvd) in the building behind Chik fil A.
This is a family friendly event, we just ask that any volunteers under the age of 14 have adult accompany them. Please click the link below to sign up.
