TIDEWATER HOKIES STUDENT SENDOFF

  • Details: Join fellow Hokies to welcome the Class of 2030 at our annual Student Send-Off event! Incoming and current students and their families are all invited. Pizza, non-alcoholic beverages, and Virginia Tech swag will be provided. There is no cost to attend!

VIRGINIA TECH DAY AT THE NORFOLK TIDES

  • Details: Join fellow Hokies for a day of baseball and Hokie camaraderie as the Norfolk Tides take on the Worcester Red Sox! Registration is $21 per guest and includes field-level seating, plus a $5 gift to Tidewater Alumni Chapter Scholarship Fund.

HOKIE HIKE

  • Location: First Landing State Park
  • Details: Join the Tidewater Hokies for the 2026 Hokie Hike in Virginia Beach! Once again we will be “hiking” First Landing State Park, located on 64th Street in Virginia Beach. It will be a 3 mile hike along the Cape Henry Trail in First Landing State Park, starting at the 64th Street entrance, hiking to The Narrows, and then back. Free parking is available along 64th Street. This is both a family and pet friendly event, so bring the whole crew! Check back for more information!

HOLIDAY HOKIE HAPPY HOUR & FOOD DRIVE

  • Details: Come and get in the Hokie Holiday Spirit and give back with the Tidewater Hokies for Holiday Hokie Happy Hour and Food Drive! Its the Hokie Happy Hour you know and love, just a little more festive. Wear your ugliest or Hokiest holiday attire! All donations will be taken to Kingdom Reign Church in Virginia Beach for their Food Bank. Suggested items include:
  • Peanut butter, Canned soup, Canned fruit, Canned vegetables ,Canned stew, Canned fish, Canned beans, Pasta, and Rice

TIDEWATER HOKIES RUN IN REMEMBRANCE

  • Date: Saturday, April 17, 2027

  • Location: Neptune Park
  • Details: Join the Tidewater Hokies for the 2027 3.2 for 32 Run in Remembrance as we take a moment to remember those who lost their lives on April 16, 2007 and to reflect on the strength of the Hokie Spirit.
    We will meet at 9:00 am at Neptune Park in front of the King Neptune statute at the Virginia Beach Ocean Front. Parking should be available in the 31st street garage. Don’t worry if you aren’t a runner, as walking is also an option. Be sure to wear your maroon and orange in solidarity.
    Registration with Virginia Tech Rec Sports is not required for participation, but if you would like to register to receive a T-Shirt or print a bib, please do so.
